The STRAPEAT project is succeeded by the:
RESTORPEAT project
(RESTORPEAT WEBSITE)
(RESTORation of tropical PEATland to promote sustainable use of renewable natural resources)
RESTORPEAT officially started on 1 December 2004 and will run for a period of 3 years.
In addition to the 12 partners collaborating in STRAPEAT, the new RESTORPEAT project is extended with 2 partners: Can Tho University in Vietnam and the private company VAPO Oy in Finland.
This website will be transformed into the new RESTORPEAT website and will keep you informed on the most recent developments in tropical peatlands.
This project is funded by the European Union under the INCO-DEV program, contract number ICA4-CT-2001-10098.
The project is co-sponored by the DLO Research Programme 'International Cooperation' (DLO-IC) of the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries.
